The Moroccan people strongly condemn the provocations of the Polisario and its calls for secession in Geneva
The Moroccan people are closely following the provocative behavior and hostile actions of the Polisario separatists, supported by Algerian intelligence services. The latest of these actions is the sit-in organized by a group of unscrupulous separatists in front of the headquarters of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, on the sidelines of the 56th session of the Council. The objective of this sit-in is to put pressure on the international community and to divert attention from the real suffering of detainees in the camps of shame and humiliation, which constitute a flagrant violation of human rights principles.
The Moroccan people condemn and denounce these despicable practices in the strongest possible terms. They also call on the international community to firmly oppose any attempt to destabilize the region and reaffirm the need to respect the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Morocco and the integrity of its territory. These desperate attempts by the Polisario Front and its Algerian intelligence supporters will only produce more failures and frustrations.
In this context, we emphasize that the Kingdom of Morocco reserves the right to take all necessary measures to protect its national sovereignty. We reaffirm our constant support for the Kingdom’s sovereignty over the entirety of its southern territory and confirm that the Sahara is and will remain Moroccan. Our support for our national leadership is reflected in our eternal motto: “God, the Country, the King.”
It is worth noting that these hostile actions only reflect the bankruptcy of separatist theses and their inability to achieve any concrete progress on the ground. On the contrary, the Kingdom of Morocco continues to strengthen human rights and achieve sustainable development in all its regions, including the southern provinces. The entire Moroccan people stand united in the face of these vain attempts, gathered around their enlightened leadership and their national institutions.
This is why we call on the international community not to be deceived by these low-level political maneuvers that aim only to tarnish the image of Morocco and attempt to undermine its stability and territorial integrity. The Kingdom of Morocco remains faithful to its international commitments in the field of human rights and is constantly working to improve the conditions of all citizens and residents on its soil.
we affirm that Morocco will not hesitate to defend its sovereignty and national unity by all legitimate means. The General Secretariat of the Moroccan Organization for Human Rights and the Fight Against Corruption will closely monitor all hostile actions and will work to denounce and combat them with firmness and vigor, convinced of the justness of the cause of the Moroccan Sahara and the right of the Moroccan people to defend their land, their honor and their holy places.
