FIFA Ranking.. Atlas Lionesses Maintain Top 3 Spot in Africa
The Moroccan women’s national football team has retained its 59th position in the FIFA rankings, released this Friday, thus confirming its place among the top three African teams.
Despite the Moroccan team’s absence from the recent Paris 2024 Olympic Games, which is considered in the FIFA rankings, the “Atlas Lionesses” still hold the third position at the continental level, behind South Africa (50th) and Nigeria (36th).
On the other hand, the United States has returned to the top (+4), after winning the gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, ahead of England, which gained one place, and Spain which dropped to third place.
The next FIFA ranking for women’s football will be published on December 20.
