Water level in Moroccan dams and basins continues to drop

Alalam24, Morocco is experiencing a continuous drop in water levels in dams and river basins. Data published by the Ministry of Equipment and Water shows that the dam filling rate has fallen to 23.20%, or a volume not exceeding 3.739 billion cubic meters. This drop is 0.10% compared to the end of last month.

These figures are a sign of the water challenges facing Morocco. The country is facing a significant drop compared to the same period last year. The dam filling rate was 31.8% at that time, with a reserve of 5.125 billion cubic meters.

As water challenges accelerate and concerns grow about their impact on agriculture and daily life, the government and relevant institutions are ready to implement effective water resource management strategies and find a balance between consumption and environmental protection.
