Alalam24, Moroccan-German political expert, Anja Sayessi, affirmed that the multidimensional strategic dialogue launched by Morocco and Germany will provide new opportunities for both countries in various fields
In a statement to the Moroccan News Agency, Sayessi explained that this strategic dialogue “will help remove trade barriers and increase the enhancement of exchanges between the two countries.” She noted that “close cooperation can unlock new opportunities and fully leverage the economic potential of both nations”
Sayessi added that this strategic dialogue provides a platform for in-depth exchanges on different topics, including politics, economy, culture, and security. She emphasized that this initiative enables both countries to deepen their cooperation and explore new opportunities for joint projects and investments
She stressed that Morocco is an attractive investment destination for German companies, particularly in the automotive, aviation, renewable energy, and environmental technologies industries. She highlighted that “the strategic dialogue will help remove barriers and improve the regulatory conditions for German companies, thus opening up new trade opportunities”
Sayessi mentioned that the exchange will have a special impact on cooperation in the field of renewable energy, pointing out that Morocco is at the forefront of renewable energy development
According to the expert, Germany, being a leader in this sector, has much to gain from the experience and progress achieved by Morocco. She noted that the strategic dialogue is likely to enhance knowledge exchange, technologies, best practices, and cooperation in the field of renewable energy. She added, “In combating climate change and protecting the environment, Rabat and Berlin can particularly benefit from each other. Morocco, strongly affected by climate change, actively participates in adaptation measures and has set ambitious goals regarding environmental protection and sustainable development”
Sayessi stated that Germany can contribute its expertise and technologies through the strategic dialogue to develop joint solutions for climate change
She also pointed out that both countries are rich in natural resources, including phosphate deposits, fisheries resources, and diverse agriculture, and they can establish a partnership that enhances access to resources and creates synergies in the agricultural, fishing, and raw materials sectors
It is worth mentioning that Morocco and Germany agreed last Thursday in Berlin to launch the multidimensional strategic dialogue, which will serve as the foundation for advancing bilateral relations and enhancing coherence across various areas of bilateral cooperation
This strategic dialogue is scheduled to be held every two years, alternating between Morocco and Germany, under the leadership of the foreign ministers of both countries
