Alalam24, Moroccan and Burkinabe officials discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the health sector during a meeting on Thursday in Rabat. The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Khalid Ait Taleb, held talks with Burkina Faso’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation, and Burkinabes Abroad, Olivia Ragagninwendé Rouamba, who is currently on a working visit to Morocco.
According to a statement from the ministry, the discussions focused on ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the health sector, particularly in areas related to the pharmaceutical industry, reducing health risks, and improving the provision of medical services through basic and continuing education and exchange of expertise. This is particularly important as Morocco has established a pioneering health experience at the African level.
The talks come within the framework of strengthening the historic fraternal relations between the two sisterly countries and expanding the horizons of joint cooperation and development.
