Alalam24, The Moroccan House of Representatives, in a legislative session, has approved Law No. 50.23, addressing the granting of “Guaranteed Nation” status to children affected by the Al Hoceima earthquake. The Delegate Minister to the Head of Government, responsible for National Defense Administration, Abdellatif Loudiyi, explained the content of the law during its presentation.
The legislation was endorsed during the ministerial council meeting held on October 19, 2023. This law falls within the framework of His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s noble directives aimed at providing immediate support to orphaned children who lost their families and became without a source of care due to the violent earthquake that struck the Al Hoceima region on September 8, 2023.
The impact of this earthquake extended to the Marrakech region, Chichaoua, Taroudant, Ouarzazate, and Azilal provinces
