The mission’s primary objective was to gain insights into Moroccan expertise in prison management and training
During their reception at the National Training Center in Tifelt, the Malian delegation learned about the strategic initiatives of the General Delegation for Penitentiary Training. Subsequently, they visited local prisons in Tifelt 2, Tamesna, Ain Sebaa, and the Rehabilitation and Reformation Center in Casablanca. The delegation also held discussions with officials from the General Delegation
This official visit aligns with the strategic goals of the General Delegation, which aim to strengthen South-South cooperation. It falls within the framework of the European Union’s program to support the consolidation of justice in Mali
The visit provided the Malian delegation with an opportunity to learn about the Moroccan model of prison management and explore the potential for bilateral cooperation between the prison management institutions in both Morocco and Mali
