Huawei Achieves Record Growth in Revenue and Profits

Huawei recorded a significant surge in its revenue for 2024, reaching 862.1 billion yuan, compared to 704.2 billion yuan in 2023, with a net profit of 62.6 billion yuan, according to its annual report.

The company continued its heavy investment in research and development, allocating 179.7 billion yuan to the sector—representing 20.8% of its total revenue. Over the past decade, its total R&D spending has exceeded 1.249 trillion yuan.

Huawei employs 113,000 people in R&D, making up 54.1% of its total workforce. It also holds over 150,000 active patents worldwide.

The company has made significant progress in artificial intelligence, leveraging a decade of advancements in computing. Its devices have made a strong comeback, especially with notable achievements in the development of its HarmonyOS operating system.
