The instant messaging app WhatsApp has announced the addition of two new features in the communities section, aimed at enhancing the interaction experience between users within subgroups. The new options are Events and Organized Responses.
The Events feature allows users to organize events and occasions within subgroups, enabling members to receive notifications about event dates. Users will be able to view events within groups or on the group’s information page.
This feature will initially be available in subgroups within communities and will subsequently be rolled out to all groups over the coming months.
As for the Organized Responses feature in announcement groups, it allows members to respond to important updates sent by admins, enabling them to see the feedback of other group members in an organized manner. Responses will be grouped into a small pop-up window for easy follow-up, while preserving the group’s structure.
These additions are part of WhatsApp’s ongoing efforts to improve the user experience in groups and align with user expectations for easier and better interaction within the app.
