Report: The artificial intelligence boom creates more than 50 new billionaires in 2025

The artificial intelligence sector witnessed a radical transformation of the global wealth landscape in 2025, as this technology succeeded in turning more than 50 pioneers in the field into billionaires in record time.

This powerful rise has been driven by massive investment spending and the growing demand for emerging technologies, which have reshaped the concept of market value for software companies. According to Forbes data, this new elite of wealthy individuals includes entrepreneurs who achieved major financial leaps. At the forefront are the seven founders of Anthropic, whose market valuation tripled in less than a year. Topping the list as well is Edwin Chen, CEO of Surge AI, with a fortune estimated at $18 billion, thanks to his company’s specialization in improving artificial intelligence models for major global companies such as OpenAI.

The success was not limited to the U.S. market alone. International figures also emerged, including Chinese entrepreneur Liang Wenfeng, founder of DeepSec, whose wealth reached $11.5 billion after developing highly efficient and lower-cost solutions for training open-source models. The wave of wealth also extended to founders of companies specializing in supporting services, such as Sierra, which focuses on customer service systems, and Mercor, which specializes in smart recruitment, with each founder’s fortune exceeding $2 billion.

These figures reflect a new reality in which artificial intelligence goes beyond being merely a technological innovation to become the world’s fastest-growing financial engine. Its exceptional ability to generate massive wealth in very short periods firmly establishes this sector as one of the key pillars of the modern global economy.
