Orit Moshe Joins Throne Day Festivities in Morocco, Reaffirms Loyalty to King Mohammed VI

Orit Moshe, Senior Advisor to the Speaker of the Israeli Knesset, visited the Kingdom of Morocco on the occasion of the Throne Day celebrations, in a visit rich in symbolism aimed at strengthening the deep ties that unite the Moroccan Jewish community across the world — particularly in the State of Israel.

Ms. Moshe, a distinguished diplomat and prominent figure in the Israeli parliamentary scene, took part in several activities and gatherings held to mark this cherished national occasion. She chose to celebrate side by side with her Moroccan brothers and sisters, in an atmosphere filled with love, loyalty, and shared belonging — a testament to the historical and cultural bonds that continue to connect Moroccan Jews to their homeland.

Her presence stood out as she appeared dressed in a traditional Moroccan caftan, in a powerful expression of her deep pride in her Moroccan-Jewish identity. In her own words during the celebration, she affirmed that:

> “Morocco is my country — it is an inseparable part of who I am, and no distance will ever erase it from my heart.”

During her visit, Orit Moshe also renewed her allegiance and deep loyalty to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, praising the King’s continued efforts to safeguard the cultural and religious rights of the Moroccan Jewish component, while promoting values of coexistence, openness, and mutual respect.

She further emphasized her commitment — both personally and professionally — to instilling in her children and in the younger generations of Moroccan Jews a love for their homeland, highlighting that Morocco remains a spiritual and ancestral homeland that lives on in the collective memory of the community.

Her participation in the Throne Day celebrations marks a significant milestone in the ongoing human and cultural rapprochement between Morocco and Israel, and reflects a genuine desire to build lasting bridges between the diverse components of the Moroccan people — both at home and abroad.
