ISADAC hosted André Azoulay for a lecture on theater and performance arts

alalam24, High Institute of Theatrical Arts and Cultural Animation (ISADAC) in Rabat hosted André Azoulay, advisor to King Mohammed VI, for an inaugural lecture on December 4, 2023, as part of the 2023-2024 academic year.

The lecture focused on the topic of “When theater and performance arts are inspired by the essence of thought and modernity.” It provided an opportunity to discuss the relationship between theater and intellectual modernity, and their role in raising major questions about humanity and society.

Azoulay also discussed the role of art and culture in communication between peoples, as well as the diffusion of Moroccan cultural heritage around the world.

Azoulay is one of Morocco’s most prominent intellectuals. He has a distinguished career in thought and politics, having held important positions in Morocco, including Minister of Culture, President of the Supreme Council for Audiovisual Communication, and Advisor to the King.

Azoulay is also highly respected in Moroccan cultural and academic circles. He is a writer and theater critic, and has published numerous works on thought and philosophy.
