“Moroccan Association of Media and Publishers Condemns Reporters Without Borders’ Report on Press Freedom in North Africa and Middle East”

Alalam24, On the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, the Moroccan Association of Media and Publishers issued a statement condemning Reporters Without Borders’ report on freedom of expression and the press in North Africa and the Middle East

Some see the report, which is affiliated with a “Parisian” organization, as distorting facts and purposefully manipulating data, which calls into question its accuracy and value. This is what prompted the Moroccan Association of Media and Publishers to issue its statement, shedding light on this controversial issue

The statement reads

The Moroccan Association of Media and Publishers read sections of what it called “Reporters Without Borders” report on “freedom of expression and the press in North Africa and the Middle East” on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, which falls on May 3 of each year

In reality, the association did not go beyond the first sections, realizing that it was a “previously seen” report or read in past years, as this “Parisian” organization is condemned for its deceit, slander, and manipulation of the international public opinion through the purposeful compilation of data, selective and biased selection of experts and sources, and ultimately reaching the same judgments

During these times of the year, “Reporters Without Borders” assumes the role of a teacher holding a stick in the face of certain regimes, countries, and entities, in order to intimidate and frighten them using flashy vocabularies such as freedom, press, expression, responsibility, arbitrary detention, and unjust judicial decisions. This is to contribute to controlling these countries and governments and directing them politically and economically, in service of agendas that are no longer hidden

For years, the National Association of Media and Publishers has realized that everything coming from this organization is just slander and directed propaganda, whose goal is to obscure the paths of development, independence, and sovereignty in Arab and North African countries, including Morocco, primarily. It does not require great intelligence to understand that the May 3, 2023 report comes in the context of other reports that use the same vocabulary and terms, as if drawing from the same source
