A Hidden Google Feature Redefines Artificial Intelligence in Arabic

In a new step toward strengthening the presence of artificial intelligence in the Arab world, Google has announced the launch of its “AI Mode” in Arabic — joining more than 36 languages that already support this technology worldwide.

This new mode is powered by the Gemini 2.5 model, offering users a more interactive and in-depth search experience through AI-generated answers enriched with trusted sources and reliable links, making it easier to explore topics further or ask follow-up questions.

According to Google’s statement, the rollout of this feature will begin gradually in the coming days on both Google Search and the Google app for Android and iPhone. Users will see a new option called “AI Mode” appear on the results page, providing them with a smarter, more personalized search experience that goes beyond the traditional search style.

The new system also allows users to use voice commands or upload images as part of their searches, thanks to Query Fan-Out technology, which breaks down a question into sub-topics and performs parallel searches to deliver more accurate and comprehensive results.

Google stated that the aim of this new experience is to enhance the quality of search results and help users access diverse content from trusted sources. The company also noted that its previously launched feature, “AI Overviews”, has significantly increased user engagement and boosted website traffic.

It’s worth noting that Google first introduced this mode in English in the Middle East and North Africa last August. Since then, the company has observed that users are asking longer and more analytical questions than with traditional search, reflecting a growing reliance on AI to explore and deeply understand information.
