This ceremony took place at the “Lopez” government palace in the heart of the Paraguayan capital, with the presence of numerous regional heads of state, including the Brazilian President, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the Argentinean President, Alberto Fernandez, the Uruguayan President, Luis Lacalle Pou, the Chilean President, Gabriel Boric, in addition to the Spanish monarch, King Felipe VI, and a host of delegations representing around 90 countries
During the inauguration ceremony of Paraguay’s new president, the President of the House of Representatives was accompanied by the Kingdom’s ambassador to Asuncion, Badr Al-Din Abdul Momeni
His Majesty King Mohammed VI had sent a congratulatory message to Mr. Santiago Benia on his election as President of the Republic of Paraguay
His Majesty the King emphasized to Mr. Benia his keenness to work together to enhance the strong bonds of friendship between Morocco and Paraguay, and to elevate bilateral cooperation in various fields for the benefit of the two nations, thus reinforcing South-South cooperation
