Doctors warn that the timing of your shower can play an important role in skin health and sleep quality, emphasizing that choosing the wrong time could lead to undesirable results, such as acne breakouts and irritating skin rashes.
While the need for a shower varies depending on each person’s lifestyle and health conditions, showering in the evening seems to be the most beneficial option, according to several experts.
Medical consultant Aragon Giuseppe, in a statement to the British Daily Mail newspaper, mentions that leaving the day’s residue on the skin without cleaning it at night increases the chances of pollutants accumulating on bed sheets, exposing the body to more pollution while sleeping.
He adds that the dirt and oils that accumulate throughout the day, especially during hot seasons, not only harm appearance but can also cause skin inflammation and contribute to clogged pores and the appearance of pimples.
He also pointed out that sheets contaminated with these impurities create a fertile environment for various skin issues, such as dryness and itching, symptoms that worsen over time if body hygiene before sleep is neglected.
Thus, it seems that evening showers are not only about feeling refreshed but also play a preventive role in protecting the skin and enhancing the body’s comfort during sleep.
