The management of Raja Club Athletic is continuing its search for a new head coach to succeed Portuguese Ricardo Sá Pinto, whose departure from the club was announced yesterday.
Among the names under consideration, Argentine coach Miguel Ángel Gamondi has stood out, reportedly proposed by an agent close to the club.
Gamondi is no stranger to Moroccan football, having previously worked with several local clubs, including Hassania Agadir and Wydad Athletic Club, where he served as sporting director under former president Saïd Naciri. He also worked as an assistant to the late coach Óscar Fulloné at Wydad in 2002. Additionally, Gamondi has had stints with other Moroccan clubs such as Maghreb de Fès and Ittihad Tanger.
Adil Hala, the president of Raja, stated that the club would not rush its decision in selecting a new coach, emphasizing that the objective is to make a thoughtful choice that aligns with the requirements of the next phase.
Hala also noted that Abdelhafid Abdessadak, the interim coach, will continue leading the team in upcoming matches until the new coach is appointed.
