American Scientists on the Verge of Developing a Pill That Eliminates the Need for Exercise

A recent study has generated excitement around pills that promote muscle growth and improve physical performance, in addition to treating obesity and muscle atrophy, and preventing certain age-related diseases such as dementia, heart failure, and declining kidney function.

In this study, scientists at the University of Washington developed a compound called SLU-PP-332, which activates specialized proteins called ERR estrogen receptors, which are stimulated during exercise.

The researchers explained that these pills could be an effective alternative to exercise, especially for people who lack the time or ability to exercise regularly. Previous studies have shown that physical exercise contributes significantly to maintaining public health and improving physical performance.

Professor Bahaa El-Gendy, professor of anesthesia at the University of Washington, said that this therapeutic approach could be particularly useful for the elderly and those with chronic diseases or muscle loss due to other medications.

This discovery should be a major step forward in the world of medicine, as it could contribute to the development of effective treatments for many diseases that many people suffer from today, which would increase the chances of living a healthy and active life.
