European Union Adopts Artificial Intelligence Act to Balance Innovation and Safety

An agreement was reached between states and members of the European Parliament, and this agreement was officially confirmed unanimously by the ambassadors of the 27 member states.

The European Commission presented the Artificial Intelligence Act proposal in April 2021. Discussions were accelerated by the application of the “ChatGPT” program, which helped to stimulate public understanding of the importance of legislation and its potential impacts.
