Certain herbal teas like chamomile and lavender help calm the nervous system and improve sleep quality, particularly when consumed a few hours before bedtime. When it comes to bones, several studies link tea consumption to increased bone density, especially among postmenopausal women. Tea may enhance mineral absorption, and when combined with milk, it also boosts calcium intake.

Tea also supports mental health. It contains compounds such as L-theanine and GABA, known for their ability to reduce stress and anxiety, making a simple cup of tea a powerful tool to restore mental balance during stressful moments.

Oral health benefits as well from tea’s strong antioxidants, which fight bacteria and reduce bad breath, making tea a natural option for supporting oral hygiene. Other studies show that tea—especially black tea—may support cognitive functions and memory retention in older adults, while also improving gut microbiota balance and strengthening digestive immunity.

Another noteworthy aspect: early research suggests that black tea may help raise testosterone levels, potentially boosting libido in both men and women. Some herbal teas, such as ginseng, are also well known for their energizing and libido-enhancing properties.
