Google officially launches “Search Live” with voice and camera

Google has officially launched its “Search Live” feature worldwide. This innovative technology combines computer vision with voice interaction, transforming how users engage with traditional search engines and expanding the use of generative AI in everyday life.

The feature is powered by the Gemini 1.5 Flash model, designed to significantly reduce response time. It allows users to point their camera at any object and ask complex voice questions in real time, effectively eliminating the gap between visual and text-based search.

The technology also includes a “conversational interruption” capability, enabling users to add details without having to rephrase their original query. In addition, it features energy optimization improvements to ensure prolonged use of the camera and cloud processing without draining the battery—an issue that had affected earlier experimental versions.

Google has rolled out this feature in 98 languages, including Arabic, making it available in more than 200 countries through updates to its app on Android and iOS, as part of a broader strategy to strengthen the integration of artificial intelligence across its services.
