The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the date for the draw of the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN), which will take place from February 1 to 28, co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.

According to an official statement released by CAF, the draw ceremony will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre in Nairobi, Kenya, at 6:00 PM Moroccan time.

This tournament will bring together 18 national teams, including the host countries and teams that have qualified from various African nations. The teams will be divided into three levels based on their strength.

The CHAN provides an opportunity to showcase local talents across the African continent, as only players competing in their respective national leagues are eligible to participate.

The Moroccan team is in the top tier, alongside the host nations, Senegal, Guinea, Zambia, and Madagascar. Additionally, five Moroccan referees will officiate in the competition, including Mustapha Kachaf and Bouchra Karboubi as main referees, Hamza Nassiri and Fatima Jermoumi as assistant referees, and Hamza El Farg as part of the VAR team.
