Google Integrates Audio Recordings into Search

In a groundbreaking move designed to simplify and expand search capabilities, tech giant Google has announced a new feature for its popular Google Lens app. This feature now allows users to conduct searches using audio recordings.

With this latest update, Google Lens enables users to add audio recordings to image searches, providing a richer context for queries.

According to tech-focused website Tech Radar, this feature is now available on Android devices. Users have noticed a glow above the magnifying glass icon, and clicking on it displays an on-screen hint informing them of the change. By long-pressing the capture button, a window opens, prompting the user to “speak now to ask about this image.” The recording is then transcribed into text on the screen, and Google Lens begins the search shortly after the user releases the button, taking the recording into account.
