Do Eggs Pose a Risk to Heart Health? A New Study Reveals the Truth

Egg consumption has long been linked to concerns about raising levels of “bad” cholesterol in the blood and the resulting health issues, such as heart disease and stroke. However, a recent study presents findings that challenge this common belief.

Researchers tracked the health of more than 3,000 adults and found that those who consumed one to three eggs per week had up to a 60% lower risk of developing cardiovascular diseases compared to others.

Heart health problems are usually associated with conditions such as atherosclerosis, caused by fat buildup in the arteries, as well as the risk of blood clots. Doctors generally recommend reducing saturated fat intake and increasing the consumption of fruits and vegetables. Yet, this study suggests that including eggs in the diet may play an important protective role.

It is worth noting that the research was based on observation and monitoring of the participants’ eating habits and health conditions, without imposing a specific diet on them. This gives the study’s findings a perspective that is closer to real-life daily habits.
