American Study Reveals Spices That Protect the Heart and Blood Vessels

A new study published in the journal Nutrients and conducted by researchers at the University of Idaho (USA) has revealed that incorporating three key spices into a daily diet plays a crucial role in slowing down cellular aging.

According to the study, the identified spices — black pepper, cinnamon, and clove — help improve cardiovascular health and provide protection at the cellular level, even when consumed in small amounts. The secret lies in their richness in polyphenols.

The scientific analysis showed that the therapeutic power of these spices comes from their high concentration of natural compounds, particularly polyphenols, which are known for their strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. These substances help reduce oxidative stress, a major factor in cellular aging, and also support the regulation of metabolic processes.

The study, which involved 212 volunteers, found that participants consumed approximately 680 milligrams of polyphenols per month from spices alone, accounting for around 12% of their total monthly intake of these beneficial compounds.
