The program “L’étoile Populaire” premiered its first season last Saturday on the 2M channel, garnering positive engagement from the Moroccan audience. Despite the general admiration for the talents showcased in the first episode, a sound quality issue caught viewers’ attention and drew criticism, as it impacted the enjoyment of the performances.
Viewers expressed their frustration about this technical issue on social media, where videos of the participants accompanied by critiques of the sound engineering circulated widely.
In response to this situation, artist Najat Aâtabou, a jury member, issued a public apology through her Instagram account. In her post, she wrote:
“My dear friends, how did you find the first show and the participants? Regarding the sound, a technical problem occurred during the broadcast of the episode, unfortunately. We hope this mistake will not happen again in the upcoming shows.” She also invited the audience to share their feedback on the first episode.
