Finally, a long-awaited solution to improve the user experience and features of the application; WhatsApp has recently launched a beta version to test an in-app calling feature, accessible to a limited group of beta users.
According to a report from the WABetaInfo website, which specializes in WhatsApp beta versions, some users can now access a dialer to make calls to any number without saving it first. This feature is available in the “Calls” tab.
If the beta is successful, this new button will allow users to call an unsaved number directly from the app, unlike what is currently required. Users will also be able to save the dialed number as a new contact or choose to send a message instead of making a call after dialing the number.
A button has been added to the app’s call screen to facilitate this process. This feature is currently only available to a limited group of beta users who have updated the app to version 2.24.13.17.
