Alalam24, On Wednesday January 10 2024, a partnership agreement was signed between the Moroccan Olympic Committee, chaired by Fayçal Laraichi, the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa, and the president of the National Association of Media and Publishers, Idriss Chahtane, under the supervision of the Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid.
The agreement aims to implement a program between the parties to organize the media coverage of sporting events and competitions in Morocco and abroad, and to ensure that the national press follows sporting events in which national delegations participate, on the continental and international level, in a professional manner and aimed at improving national sports media work in accordance with the commitments defined within the framework of this agreement.
Bensaid explained that “this agreement is concluded to support and provide all the possibilities to journalists who will accompany the national team at the Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire. It also aims to organize a preliminary meeting before departure for Côte d’Ivoire in order to achieve the dream of winning the continental cup.”
Idriss Chahtane, president of the National Association of Media and Publishers, said that this signed agreement represents a historic moment that begins with the launch of the Africa Cup of Nations, in its 34th edition, organized in Côte d’Ivoire. Morocco is considered the largest media delegation present at the competition, which constitutes essential support for the national team.
