On July 6th, in Berlin, the two nations agreed to launch a multidimensional strategic dialogue, which serves as a foundation for advancing their relationship and reinforcing harmony in various areas of bilateral cooperation
This strategic dialogue is rooted in shared values and mutual respect, aiming to solidify the principles and foundations of the relationship between Morocco and Germany, with a focus on preserving and enhancing the priority interests of both countries
Hicham Fonti, Political Advisor to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in North Rhine-Westphalia, stated that Rabat and Berlin are laying the groundwork for a comprehensive and renewed partnership, promoting fruitful and strategic cooperation capable of addressing various current challenges. He emphasized that Morocco is Germany’s primary partner in the North African region
Mr. Fonti pointed out that the bilateral relations have recently gained new momentum, both economically and politically, which will yield positive returns for both countries in various productive sectors
Economically, Moroccan-German relations have strengthened over the past two decades, particularly with the declaration of Rabat in 2013 and the reform partnerships in 2019
Currently, there are nearly 300 German companies represented in Morocco, a number expected to increase with the bolstered relations between the two nations, thanks to the new chapter they have initiated
Mr. Fonti added that thanks to its investment policy, Morocco has increasingly become a center of interest for many countries in Africa and Europe, allowing it to choose its strategic partners
With their joint determination, Morocco and Germany reaffirm their commitment to deepen their long-term relations, aiming for a higher level of strategic partnership directed towards the future
